We are looking for our next Senior Engineering Manager to join our tech domains in Berlin (Hybrid working model office in Berlin). You will join a team of hard working entrepreneurs who are passionate about transforming healthcare and play an active role in shaping a fastgrowing company from day one!
What youll do :
You will be both a technical leader and a people manager coaching and training your team members while building an amazing engineering organization at Doctolib. In this role you will be:
- Leading a high performing and user centric engineering organization of 4 feature teams while delivering positive team engagement scores;
- Elevating our patient products in order to become the undisputed leader in access to healthcare in Europe with a specific emphasis on improving the search booking and messaging experiences;
- Defining the engineering strategy and delivery for Doctolibs core patient application;
- Be the endtoend owner of your teams delivery quality objectives;
- Setting standards and exceed security reliability performance and scalability requirements that are needed to continue to be the most trusted ehealth SaaS;
- Driving continuous process improvements for managing documenting staffing and reviewing engineering projects and services;
- Participating in architecture reviews to ensure that the solution delivered by your team meets Doctolib quality standards;
- Partnering with talent & people teams to recruit develop and retain talent;
- Leading cross functional initiatives to uplevel our engineering team.
Key attributes we are looking for :
- Management: You have proven experience of building multiple engineering teams managing managers (mandatory) and senior individual contributors working on multiple different stacks.
- Hiring: You know how to define and put a sourcing strategy to grow our engineering team in Berlin in alignment with our Doctolib culture.
- Technical leader: You have a strong technical background in software engineering architecture distributed systems and project management.
- User centricity: You empathize with users understand their needs and champion their voice throughout the development process. You have a track record of delivering projects that drive tangible results and move the needle.
- Strategic thinking: You have the ability to see the big picture and align your teams efforts with the broader company strategy.
- Impact: You think big and understand how to design and build systems that can scale gracefully to meet the demands of a growing user base. You have a strong sense of ownership with a bias for action.
Also it would be fantastic if you:
- Have already worked in a hypergrowth tech environment;
- Are confident working with various technologies (i.e.: MongoDB Postgres Redis Ruby Java Kotlin Kafka)
