As a Procurement Specialist 1 you will be responsible for interpreting and applying procurement policies to proposed contract documents to determine appropriateness and make amendments as needed for processing. Work also involves reviewing procurement documents and actions for adherence to rules policies and procedures. This position requires a strong working knowledge of procurement methods and procedures as well as technical writing and contract principles. It is imperative to have the ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify and resolve problems in addition to interpreting and applying regulations policies and procedures.
