Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Sets up operates and tends to heat treat furnaces.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs routine macro hardness test verification as required.
- Performs necessary testing and bake out cycles.
- Performs capillary tests on brazed honeycomb hardware as required.
- Performs brazability testing on new braze alloy lots.
- Starts up operates and shuts down heat treat furnaces per documented work instructions.
- Prepares load thermocouples as required.
- Monitors furnace cycles to ensure proper operation.
- Reviews furnace charts for accuracy and compliance.
- Performs operations on open air aluminum furnace as assigned.
- In coordination with Maintenance Department performs preventive maintenance on heat treat equipment (including but not limited to channel calibrations dew point tests and leak tests).
- Proceeds under general supervision.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity with Ace Precision Quality System work instruction requirements that govern heat treat operations.
- Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
- Follows and complies with safety policies and procedures.
- Accurately completes all required documentation.
- Meets attendance policy requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read English and understand sketches routings product specifications safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other Company stakeholders.
