Job Description

Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech/Radiology Tech opportunity in a busy private practice vascular surgery office in Flint.
Michigan Vascular Access Center Flint is a division of Michigan Vascular Center. The vascular surgeons at MVC are leaders in innovative vascular care first and foremost in vascular health in midMichigan for over sixty years. Michigan Vascular Access Center provides a full service hemodialysis access center offering comprehensive vascular service to patients with ESRD. Both diagnostic and surgical treatment of dialysis access are performed right in our office.
Fulltime position Monday Friday First Shift No Weekends No Holidays.
  • Provides scrub assistance skills and operates fluoroscopy equipment within the procedure rooms as needed i.e. Carm power injector ultrasound autoclave various catheters etc.
  • Helps nursing staff open sterile supplies and prepare for each procedure.
  • Assists and anticipates providers needs according to prescribed standards.
  • Assists in application of dressing pulling PCs debridement etc as needed.
  • Maintains par supply levels and orders supplies for department as needed; Cost conscious in utilization of supplies for procedures
  • Decontaminates all equipment and instruments and cleans procedure room(s) per standards.
  • Demonstrates primary focus of customer service for internal and external customers.
Job Requirements
  • BLS certification required
  • Certified Surgical Tech or Radiology Tech; 2 years experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in Interventional Radiology or vascular lab
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain aseptic technique in accordance with AORN standards.
  • Accurate and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and efficient able to multitask and be timely
  • Possess the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions including standing for long periods of time and wearing lead PPE.
  • Handles Protected Health Information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Responsible for selfgrowth and development
  • Participates in Quality Improvement Program
