In this role you will lead a team of 10 within the IT Data Platform unit directing the planning design architecture and construction of the EMEA data platform. Acting as a key point of contact between IT and business stakeholders you will ensure transparent communication about priorities and progress.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership: Guide and support team members to meet performance goals. Oversee daily operations including project management task prioritization and handling user requests. Foster mentorship and development plans for the team.
- Product Backlog Management: Functioning as a SCRUM Product Owner maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to understand needs create new data models and deliver reports and processes.
- Best Practices Implementation: Promote and establish best practices for data engineering reusable components architecture and technical standards.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans detailing tasks timelines and resource allocations. Plan for future use cases and create a longterm roadmap for the data platform.
- Data Architecture: Design implement and manage technical systems to store process and analyze data. Expertise in data modeling database and warehouse development is essential.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in managing IT BI and data development teams using SCRUM methodologies.
- Solid background in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Strong organizational time management communication and teamwork abilities.
- Expertise in problemsolving and decisionmaking.
- Experience as a Data Architect.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Intelligence including data analytics warehouse modeling data lake implementation ETL processes and data cleansing.
- Indepth understanding of BI processes including data refreshes quality checks performance optimization and data monitoring.
- SQL expertise (e.g. Oracle MSSQL DB2.
- Comprehensive knowledge of database structures and data mining.
- Experience in integrating data from diverse sources and analyzing it to inform business decisions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI Tableau Snowflake Azure Data Factory and Atlan Data Catalog.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Experience in international environments and complex matrix organizations.
- Strong technical and business communication skills in English; additional European languages (e.g. French Italian German Spanish) are a plus.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.
- Industry knowledge in manufacturing supply chain purchasing sales or marketing is advantageous.
