Job Summary
Work Shift
1 First ShiftAre you the type of person who can lead people of all backgrounds and prioritize work to meet customer needs In this role you will support the daytoday work of our production team members and collaborate with other areas to continually improve processes and meet customer demand. You will facilitate communication ensure proper training is in place and plan and direct the work of team members. Were looking for individuals who communicate well and lead others with technical expertise.What Youll Do
1. Model and drive the need for customerfocused team members while moving product to the next stage in the value stream process.
2. Apply lean principles to support the team and complete followup items from Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
3. Collect current and accurate information on the managing for daily improvement (MDI) board to drive completion of counter measures and communicate with team members.
4. Ensure team members have appropriate tools to effectively complete their job tasks.
5. Prioritize opportunities for current team member development and facilitate training of new team members. Ensure crosstraining is in place for maximum coverage and support of processes. Train team members in safe work practices and enforce safety rules and procedures.
What Were Looking For
High School Diploma or HiSET.
Oneyear manufacturing related experience.
Ability to lead others in alignment with the Vermeer characteristics and behaviors.
Ability to perform problem solving techniques and implement counter measures.
Demonstrated understanding of performance measurements including but not limited to safety quality delivery cost and inventory.
Understanding of lean principles.
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to assess evaluate and carry out appropriate action in multiple situations.
Understanding of equipment and machinery operation.
Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.
