The opportunity

As an IT Systems Engineer at Column youll ensure the secure and reliable operation of our enterprise technology ecosystem enabling our team to deliver modern banking infrastructure to financial innovators. You will be the frontline of our Technology Operations (TechOps) function implementing hardware and software solutions that will help our team work efficiently while also maintaining the high security standards required in a banking environment.

This role reports directly to the Head of Technology Operations and requires an inperson presence in our Presidiobased office at least 45 days a week. It also will entail regular travel to our Chicobased office and periodic travel to San Jose and Los Angeles.

What youll do

• Maintain and optimize our endpoint management system ensuring devices are compliant secure and consistently operational.

• Provide responsive technical support to our team members quickly diagnosing and resolving issues for both inoffice and remote employees

• Partner with Engineering and Business teams to develop automated workflows that enhance employee productivity and operational efficiency

• Configure and maintain secure cloud infrastructure using AWS Kubernetes Terraform and other modern automation tools

• Conduct proactive system health assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues before they impact operations

• Implement and test disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity in line with banking regulations

• Stay updated on the latest technological trends and tools that can enhance user (employee) experience and operational efficiency.

• Responsible for identifying assessing and managing the risk associated with activities by adhering to policies and procedures established by the Bank and reporting issues identified to management

What youll need to be successful

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

• 46 years of experience in IT Technology Operations or related function

• Experience with macOS/Windows scripting languages and the ability to write scripts for endpoint management and automation

• Experience working with and managing Okta AWS GSuite Jamf Microsoft Intune and other SaaS products.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes Terraform and other tooling

• Skilled at detecting and resolving technical issues with a focus on effective problemsolving.

• Highly selfmotivated and skilled at prioritizing within a fastpaced dynamic work environment.

• Jamf 200 and up or Okta certifications a plus

Pay transparency

Compensation packages at Column include base salary equity and benefits. New hire offers are made based on a candidates experience expertise geographic location and internal pay equity relative to peers.

The annual base salary range for this position is $125000 $150000 equity.
