Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer a typical day might include the following:
- Generating mechanical specifications for a new product or a change to an existing product.
- Designing robust components housings and assemblies.
- Performing tolerance studies computer simulations or other technical activities required to ensure product quality.
- Conducting design reviews to demonstrate product robustness and manufacturability.
- Writing test plans executing design tests and reviewing test results.
- Preparing and maintaining project notebooks and related documentation.
- Generating and maintaining accurate bills of material.
- Estimating labor and material for new projects.
- Qualifying custom part vendors.
- Coordinating engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing colleagues.
- Mentoring and directing the efforts of interns designers and technicians.
This job might be for you if:
- You have a B.S. and/or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- You have 2 years of experience in at least two of the following areas:electromechanical packaging design computeraided design materials and processes mechanics.
- You are detailoriented and skilled at solving challenging problems.
- You have strong writing documentation and speaking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years SolidWorks experience
- Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: industrial plastics spring design sealing design environmental testing finite element analysis
- Experience effectively managing projects

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Mechanical Engineer $85000 $108000 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and jobrelated factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
