Job Description

The Division of RenalElectrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in either the nontenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of nephrology with preferred experience in transplant nephrology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should have ABIM certification in Nephrology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students residents and fellows at the Perelman School of Medicine and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Applicants should be outstanding educators.

Clinical responsibilities may include caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient services as a transplant nephrologist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include having an independent research program to understand kidney physiology and kidney disease development from basic molecular mechanism to translational clinical and implementation science.
