Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join our thriving Sixth Form department. The successful candidate will have experience delivering the British A Level Psychology curriculum demonstrate a passion for their subject and possess the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging A Level Psychology lessons in line with the British curriculum.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking academic curiosity and student independence.
• Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide timely constructive feedback to students.
• Prepare students for A Level examinations ensuring they are confident and wellequipped for academic success.
• Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
• Foster respectful and professional relationships with students parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular involvement and Sixth Form enrichment programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and departmental planning.
• Participate in schoolwide initiatives and professional development opportunities.
• Uphold the schools policies and values including those related to safeguarding wellbeing and diversity.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Psychology or a related subject (Masters degree preferred).
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE . or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience ideally in a British curriculum school.
• Indepth knowledge of the A Level Psychology curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with Sixth Form students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work in a multicultural environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and educational excellence.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: TAX FREE salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
• Accommodation:
• Free fully furnished single accommodation with utilities included.
• Or Housing Allowance of KWD 150/month.
• Teachers with families may access a 2bedroom apartment for KWD 90/month.
• Facilities include gym and swimming pool.
• Transportation:
• Free twoway school transport for the first 3 months.
• Continued service available for KWD 20/month thereafter.
• Airfare:
• Initial joining ticket from home country.
• Annual summer return ticket and return ticket at the end of contract.
• Medical Insurance:
• Government health insurance for first two years.
• Private health insurance from year three.
• School Fee Discounts:
• 100 discount on tuition fees for up to two children (subject to management approval).
• Visa Reimbursement:
• Up to KWD 100 for visa expenses in home country (upon submission of receipts).

Working Conditions

• Contract Length: Two years renewable by mutual agreement.
• Working Days: Approximately 177 teaching days per year.
• Working Hours: 07:10 AM to 02:40 PM Sunday to Thursday.
  Fridays and Saturdays are weekends.
