Job Description

Position:Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions are thrilled to announce the opportunity for dedicated and skilled professionals to apply for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher position for the upcoming academic year.

This role involves working across various grade levels in our district to provide vital support and specialized education to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key responsibilities include:

Adapting and modifying curriculum materials.
Conducting assessments to monitor progress.
Delivering direct instruction tailored to each students needs.
Providing training and resources to staff to enhance student support.
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Facilitating effective communication among students teachers and families.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and hold a Bachelor s Degree in Deaf Education or Special Education. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred as is a valid Georgia PEL certification with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing. A strong understanding of the IEP process along with experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs is essential. Additionally candidates should have prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting.
