Job Description
Houston Middle School seeks an experienced enthusiasticenglish teacher for a fall
2025 opening. The main duties of this job include designing and teaching daily english/reading/writing classes to
students in grades 68coaching opportunities may also be available.
The candidate must be knowledgeable in ELA successful in
classroom management well organized energetic flexible and open to constructive feedback.
Work within a supportive and team environment. The independent school environment calls for
frequent teacher/parent communication as well as support of extracurricular school activities
and overall program goals.
Pay/Stipend/Benefits
Salary stipend is contingent on years of experience. The Houston R1 School District offers a
fully paid health insurance plan (with fulltime teaching position) along with additional benefits.
About Houston High School
Houston Middle School home of the Tigers is located in Texas County Missouri and sits within the
heart of the Ozarks in South Central Missouri. The school is part of the South Central
Association Conference along with seven other schools. Excellent community support is evident
in the recent passage of a bond issue which allowed for the construction of a 6.5 million dollar
