About the Role
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on your community Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ) is seeking a dedicated Gambling Help Community Educator to join our team based from our Ipswich venue. This is a parttime role 45 hours a fortnight) with the flexibility to work both in the office and from home.
In this role you will adopt a public health approach to champion harm minimisation strategies and increase awareness of gamblingrelated harm through meaningful community engagement and education. Operating within a harm minimisation framework you will design and deliver targeted educational interventionsspanning primary secondary and tertiary levelsto shed light on the impacts of gambling and promote safer gambling practices. By building strong partnerships with key stakeholders and delivering impactful community education programs you will play a pivotal role in driving engagement with RAQs Gambling Help Services and establishing seamless referral pathways to support individuals in need.
Additionally you will:
Develop and implement comprehensive community education and engagement strategies to raise awareness about gamblingrelated issues and promote harm minimisation practices.
Collaborate with key stakeholders within industry and community to build partnerships create effective referral pathways and ensure alignment with RAQs statewide approach to gambling help services.
Maintain confidentiality and duty of care including identification and assessment of domestic and family violence child safety threat of harm to self or others and other risk factors; and take appropriate steps as required by organisational policy and procedure.
Understand and meet legislative and funding requirements including collecting and recording statistical data in a timely and accurate manner.
Organise and facilitate network meetings and events
About You

High levels of professionalism integrity and accountability are crucial with a track record of gaining trust through honest and authentic interactions.
Additionally you have:
Relevant Undergraduate qualification in Behavioural Science Psychology or Social Work/Community Development or Education.
Demonstratedability to develop and deliver education and awareness programs as well as an understanding of theoretical frameworks and models of adult education and community development
Demonstrated experience in engaging with various community sectors and ability to build key stakeholder engagement with RAQ.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and community engagement/ development strategies.

The salary is being offered between $84000.00 to $98000.00 per annum to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience plus superannuation. We also offer our employees as follows:
