As an Apartment Painter you play a crucial role in ensuring the overall satisfaction and wellbeing of our residents. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of painting tasks related to apartment occupancy building maintenance moveins moveouts unit turns work orders drywall and providing exceptional customer service. Your technical expertise and dedication to quality workmanship will contribute to creating a comfortable and enjoyable living environment for our residents.

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:
Surface Preparation
- Clean sand se or wash surfaces to remove dirt old paint or rust.
- Repair cracks holes or other imperfections using caulk putty or plaster.
- Mask and tape areas not to be painted (windows trim flooring).
Painting Application
- Apply primer or sealant to prepare surfaces.
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired color and texture.
- Apply paint varnish stains or other finishes using brushes rollers or sprayers.
- Apply multiple coats as needed ensuring even and professional coverage.
Detail & Finishing Work
- Perform touchups and finishing tasks for a clean look.
- Paint trim baseboards doors cabinets and railings with precision.
- Ensure a uniform appearance with no drips streaks or blemishes.
Maintenance Painting
- Repaint or touch up areas in hightraffic or worn spaces.
- Assist with repainting vacant units and common areas in apartment settings.
Safety & CleanUp
- Ensure proper ventilation and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Store paints and chemicals safely according to OSHA guidelines.
- Clean brushes tools and workspaces after completion of each job.
Project Coordination
- Communicate timelines and updates with supervisor or property manager.
- Estimate the quantity of paint and materials needed.
- Follow project specifications and client expectations.
Miscellaneous Tasks
- Assist maintenance team with minor drywall or carpentry repairs.
- Support team in preparing units for new residents (makereadies).
- Move furniture or equipment as needed to access painting areas.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Experience using equipment supplies and materials used in the painting and maintenance field.
- Excellent customer service and passion for helping people.
- Ability to lift push and pull up to 90 pounds.
- Attention to safety and ability to comply with all MSDA Sheets.
- Good communication and attention to detail.
