What do we expect from you
Reporting Directly to the Director Sales & Marketing the Director of Revenue is accountable for maximizing Hotel Revenues across rooms F&B outlets meetings and events spa etc.
How your day looks like:
- Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance. Performs competitor checks and reports as appropriate
- Leads the weekly revenue and monthly revenue strategy meetings
- Attends the weekly group pipeline meeting
- Provides analysis of demand factors competitive positioning and future outlook and trends
- Ensures that the Hotels revenue management practices being used are consistent with hotel policies and procedures including Rate Plans Rate Categories Market Segmentation Profiles and all other PMS/IPS related RM functionality
- Prepares Daily Weekly and Monthly Revenue reports to include production trends booking patterns as well as channel analysis
- Evaluates distribution channels including costs commissions number of reservations and revenue whilst providing potential reasons for the performance
- Ensures that the revenue plan is updated on a daily basis balancing all figures with the PMS and ensuring that all data input into the system is accurate.
- Complete all rooms and revenue forecasting to accurately project demand.
- Ensures that the Hotels position in the distribution channels is consistent with the Hotels Selling Strategies includes conducting rate and availability audits and that rate parity is maintained across all channel.
- Assists the DOS in identifying soft periods and developing promotions and strategies.
- Assist with all aspects of the annual Budget preparation and development of the Hotels annual Business / Marketing plan.
- Responsible for developing training and providing guidance to the Revenue Analyst/Distribution Executive/ Reservations Team through daytoday management.
- Participates in all Revenue conference calls with Corporate.
- Assists in managing relationships with thirdparty online intermediaries especially Regional Travel Agents
- Ensures that all hotel Corporate guidelines are up to date and adhered to by the Hotel team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Hotel Management Accounting Finance and Mathematics is preferred.
- 3 years successful experience in luxury hotel revenue management. Demonstrated record of high performance and success in previous roles.
- Expert understanding of the hotel tech and distribution landscapes including indepth knowledge of all hotel channels connectivity revenue management systems and CRS / PMS functionality.
- Proven experience successfully navigating large organizations and driving progress with support teams to achieve property goals.
- Proven successful experience working with and presenting to ownership groups.
- Proven successful experience leading through an ambiguous environment and proactively and independently building new programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; can influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Analytical mindset; can gather interpret and leverage data for strategic decisionmaking.
