Qualifications
M.A. or M.F.A. degree in Art History/Fine Arts/Anthropology/Museum Studies from an accredited program required. Minimum 2 years of professional experience managing a collection as a Registrar Assistant Registrar Collection Manager Curator of Collections or a comparable position. Requires the handling of averageweight objects up to 25 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods during the day. Possess indepth knowledge of conservation theory and practices. The successful candidate will be flexible creative and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to be a member of a small team of museum professionals and to work with a diverse group of faculty students and visitors. Ability to maintain accurate records and documents. Strong computer skills including Adobe Suite and graphic imaging. Knowledge of PastPerfect or other collection management database software. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet timelines in a deadline driven environment and to work autonomously.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of copyright permissions and rights and reproduction regulations and procedures preferred.
