Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Relations

    • Demonstrates employee focus and strives to exceed expectations for customer service.

2. Nursing Role

      • Administers required Drugscreening tests.
      • Administers TB screening process.
      • Provides basic first aid as needed.
      • Administers influenza shots and other vaccinations to staff as needed.
      • Participates in the annual Residential TB program.
      • Responds to overhead paged medical emergency calls as needed. Administers first aide as needed.

    3. Documentation & Communication

        • Maintains and updates drug screening TB testing and vaccination records in the Empath HRIS.
        • Tracks and follows up with noncompliant employees through reports alerting HR staff for follow up or by directly contacting employees for follow up.
        • Communicates effectively with Human Resources and Recruitment staff to manage the medical components of the onboarding process for new employees contractors and volunteers.

      4. Educational Support

          • Educates employees about the benefits of obtaining the Hepatitis B and Flu vaccinations.
          • As needed assist the Wellness Coordinator in Wellness initiatives.
          • Assists the Infection Control Coordinator in duties such as providing employee education when needed.

        Requires:

        1. Work requires possession of a current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment and continuously throughout tenure in position strong computer skills and three to six months of LPN experience working with adults.
        2. requires interpersonal skills sufficient to provide a warm welcoming environment to new employees Work maintain professional courtesy with employees at all levels of the organization and maintain confidentiality with employee organization and protected health information.
        3. Position requires analytical ability for nursing assessment emergency first aide and documentation of pertinent information for documentation.
        4. Work requires attention to detail in preemployment testing infection control (Hepatitis B and influenza) shots and records maintenance and mental/visual fatigue with computer data entry
        5. Requires travel to Towson and Elkridge
