Custodian

To provide custodial services in all public areas to supply guest areas with linens and supplies and to provide extensive floor care (carpet wood tile) maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors walls windows and restrooms in public areas
• Operate heavy duty vacuums carpet shampooers carpet extractors floor strippers and other equipment (as needed)
• Clean office areas/public restrooms
• Assist in repairing and servicing of all floor equipment

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Pleasant tactful courteous and cooperative
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Time management skills

Education Work Experience and Other Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent desired
• Work experience in the operation of floor care equipment
• Manual labor work experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with a range from floor level to above shoulder height
• Walking and standing on concrete floors for a period of up to eight hours
• Free range of motion including twisting bending stooping and climbing on step ladders

Due to the nature of the job a person may come in contact with bloodborne pathogens and other body fluids which is a concern for personal safety.
