Job Description
Summerset Paraparaumu Village is looking for an experienced Gardener to join our team on a casual basis.
About the Role:
This is a busy and diverse role assisting the Property Manager with daytoday garden maintenance activities such as trimming panting and weeding. Therefore you will need to be organised and efficient while a good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best in service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring well maintained beautiful gardens and landscapes
- Ensuring the buildings grounds and amenities are kept clean and tidy for residents families and staff to enjoy
- Working with the Property Manager & Village Manager to plan manage and report on work plans and budgets
- Maintaining a professional friendly and welcoming appearance and manner for all residents & families
This is a casual contract working on and if and when required basis in particular during peak growth periods & to provide cover during staff leave. The hours you may be called upon are anywhere between 7.30am 4pm.

About You:
Ideally you will have gardening or landscaping experience. But more important to us will be your genuine passion for creating great environments and love for all kinds of people from all walks of life. Flexibility is key as work hours will vary based on seasonal demands and team availability.
To be successful you will bring:
- A good level of fitness will prove useful for delivering the best in service
- Experience in creating and maintain great gardens domestically or commercially
- A passion for keeping our gardens beautiful and enjoyable for our residents is essential!
- Excellent timemanagement to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
Due to NZ Immigration requirements we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first.
