Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant performs staff level accounting duties in support of the accounting
administrative and financial planning duties of the business corporate accounting group.
Responsibilities include completing journal entries account reconciliations and management reports required to complete the monthly financial close. Compliance with local statutory direct & indirect tax requirements and assist in statutory audits.
What youll be doing:
- Assist in monthend close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Review of Output/ Input invoices for monthly tax filings. Compliance with local statutory direct & indirect tax requirements including regular tax payments (Advance tax WHT & GST) and filing returns.
- Assist with AR AP and Treasury Matters where necessary.
- Prepares and finalize accounts for India subsidiary in a timely accurate and complete manner.
- Assist in external audit prepare schedules identify and correct errors. Interface with external and internal auditors to ensure all audits and filings are carried out properly.
- Familiar with India tax and compliance regulations.
- Ensure the consistency of adhering to financial policies and practices globally.
- Understand newly issued accounting guidance impacting the Companys financial reporting researching GAAP compliance issues and drafting related position papers.
- Assist with the development of expanded regional financial reporting package and analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
What were looking for:
- 4 years of postqualification experience in general accounting and/or financial reporting for Indian entity.
- Experience in India controllership role preferred.
- Sound knowledge of India statutory and tax legislation.
- Hands on experience in General Ledger Accounting MonthEnd Close Direct and India tax compliances Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting.
- Being dynamic looking for solutions and working as a teamplayer.
- Candidates having working experience with MNC culture shall be preferred.
Bonus Points: Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
Education:Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
