Winston Hospitality is seeking a General Manager for its dual properties 181room AC Hotel and 162room Element Hotel by Marriott . We are looking for a handson guest oriented leader with a proven ability for creating a service oriented culture that provides a high level of guest satisfaction. The General Manager will oversee all day to day operations by directing staff efforts toward exceptional and complete guest satisfaction employee productivity and compliance to brand standards and hotel profitability. This General Manager must have a strong understanding of hotel food and beverage operations and the ability to lead an effective sales and marketing effort.
JOB DETAILS
Provides implements and promotes exceptional guest service standards to all team members assigned to hotel operations in accordance with the established standards.
Monitors the leadership staff of the assigned departments to ensure that they provide the level of service as stipulated and will ensure that the necessary action to correct any noted deficiencies are taken in a timely manner.
Directs investigations into causes of guest complaints and employee issues and responds accordingly.
Maintains the facilities rooms entrances amenities and services to meet and exceed the expectations of all guests.
Monitors annual budget revenue goals and the expenses as well as generating forecasts.
Promotes total guest satisfaction by addressing complaints answering inquires and resolving problems that guests may have encountered or brought to the propertys attention.
Develops and maintains close coordination with sales staff members to insure that all guests and special events attendees are given quality services.
Follows all safety policies and procedures and attends scheduled safety meetings and trainings.
Prepares accurate and informative reports containing conclusions and recommendations; prepares detailed financial reports and ensures compliance with established budgets.
Prepares ongoing detailed management and operational analysis; oversees and ensures operational functions and proper staffing.
Prepares executes and maintains annual operating budgets.
Enforces compliance with administrative policies procedures safety rules and health regulations.
Promotes positive guest and employee relations at all times.
Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
Ability to produce a quality product on a consistent basis.
Education & Experience:
Must have Strong Food & Beverage experience
Must have a thorough financial background.
Must have at least 35 years experience as a General Manager or 46 years as an Assistant General Manager with strong operations and food & beverage background.
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food & beverage/hospitality profession.
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must be exceptionally knowledgeable in forecasting budgeting and strategic planning.
Must have thorough knowledge of all operations including rooms sales and marketing food and beverage front office engineering housekeeping and security.
Must have Revenue Management experience.
Must have Property Management Systems experience.
4 year degree preferred.
Marriott experience preferred.
Dual property management preferred.
