Job Description
We are looking for hardworking reliable and safety minded individuals to join our team as a Scale operator /labor
This position will work outside in varying weather conditions and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health Safety and Environmental standards.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing inbound & outbound deliveries of recyclable materials metal processing
- Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions for this position
- Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
- unloading pallets boxes and bundles sorting.
- Generates invoices itemize lists and tickets showing amount due verifying weights prices and extensions.
- Record and verify cash amounts received from controllers and prepare reports for daily transactions.
- Run tape for daily tickets paid out.
- Enter customers transactions into computers records and issue computergenerated receipts.
- Identify transaction errors.
- Responsible for endofday reports.
- Enter the correct codes for received materials.
- Maintain orderly purchasing and sales tickets.
- sorting pushing pulling picking lifting carrying and filling up hoppers boxes and conveyor belts
- Operate forklift Unpacking boxes using box cutters separating plastics zip ties blister packs and other packaging materials
- Direct traffic of yard vehicles traveling through yard
- Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner
Qualifications
- Compliance with all applicable federal state local & SA Recycling safety health & environmental rules regulations policies & procedures.
- Must pass a Credit and background check
- Must pass a medical physical and drug test
- Preferred high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
- Must have computer skills
- Must have Forklift operations experience skills
- Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction (written or oral) and use basic math skills as the job demands
- Willingness to learn how to: sort metal identify colors shapes and weights; properly maintain equipment; properly utilize PPE

Work Environment: S metal yard outdoor
Equipment & Tools: Forklift Yard equipment hand tools and PPE. computer
Physical Demand Level: Moderate to heavy

Sensory Demands: Hearing vision smell touch and taste
Hand Movements: Repetitive motions gripping
