Job Description

Outstanding BC/BE Neonatologist Opportunity in Floridas Collier County

Nicklaus Childrens Health System and Nicklaus Childrens Pediatric Specialists (NCPS)the health systems physicianled multispecialty group practice have an exceptional opportunity for a boardcertified or boardeligible (BC/BE) fellowshiptrained neonatologist with a minimum of three years of experience (preferred) for a 19bed Level II NICU located on Floridas Gulf Coast in Collier County.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a comprehensive perinatal and neonatal program for babies in a Level II NICU that is currently transitioning to a Level III NICU to better support the growing needs of the Naples community. This role presents a unique opportunity for a motivated candidate to build and expand the NICU. Applicants should possess a passion for advocacy and improving care for all children. The BC/BE neonatologist will be responsible for attending deliveries providing prenatal consultations to highrisk babies resuscitating and stabilizing newborns in the delivery room as well as providing leadership oversight and supervision in the Level II nursery.

Candidates should be proficient in newborn resuscitation including neonatal intubation umbilical line placement and peripheral cannulation lumbar punctures etc. The unit is staffed aroundtheclock by advanced practice providers employed by Nicklaus Childrens Pediatric Specialists. Neonatologists round during the day and provide oncall coverage from home. These roles offer salaries that are competitive and commensurate with experience.

The unit adheres to policies procedures training and competencies shared through the collaboration with Nicklaus Childrens.

The position is primarily a clinical position related to the diagnosis treatment and clinical management of pediatric patients in a multidisciplinary environment that includes physicians nurses advanced practice providers clinical scientists and social workers. The position offers exposure to a mix of general and high acuity pediatric patients. The position also includes teaching and supervision of medical residents and provides opportunities to participate in research and publishing.
