About the workplace
This is a permanent fulltime role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. We are also open to candidates based out of Ontario.
We are looking for a forwardthinking and technically strong Integration Development Manager to lead our team focused on realtime integrations across enterprise systems. The integration platform leverages both MuleSoft and Azure Integration Services.
Operating in a regulated financial services environment this role is responsible for building and maintaining secure lowlatency highavailability integrations that support critical business operations. The manager will also implement bestinclass code management strategies and ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.
A typical day would involve:
- Lead a team of developers delivering realtime integration solutions using .NET MuleSoft and Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps Service Bus API Management Azure Functions).
- Architect implement and maintain lowlatency highthroughput and resilient integration patterns to support realtime data exchange across financial systems.
- Ensure secure data transmission access control and encryption across all integration layers to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Define and enforce a robust code management strategy ensuring consistent practices for source control (e.g. Git) pull requests reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with security cloud and architecture teams to embed securitybydesign into all integration workflows.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and modern observability tooling to proactively monitor alert and respond to integration issues in real time.
- Work crossfunctionally with product managers solution architects and internal business teams to translate requirements into secure scalable integration designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers fostering a highperformance collaborative team culture.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in realtime integration messaging and cloudnative platforms.
You have:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in enterprise software/integration development with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
- Handson expertise in .NET Framework / .NET Core C# Web APIs and RESTful services.
- Proven experience designing realtime integration solutions including messaging queues eventdriven architecture and APIfirst systems.
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Azure Integration Services including Logic Apps Service Bus API Management and Azure Functions.
- Deep understanding of financial data compliance and security practices (OAuth2 TLS encryption RBAC).
- Experience in monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Azure Monitor App Insights Splunk Elastic etc. to ensure visibility across realtime integrations.
- Strong background in source control CI/CD automated testing and release management in a multiplatform environment.
Bonus if you have:
- Microsoft Azure or MuleSoft certifications (e.g. Azure Developer Associate Solutions Architect MuleSoft Integration Architect).
- Experience working in highavailability regulated environments such as banking capital markets or fintech.
- Familiarity with pub/sub systems and event streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka Event Grid Event Hubs).
- Exposure to Agile delivery and secure SDLC practices.

The salary range for this role is $102200 to $153200 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications skills previous experience and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program subject to program eligibility requirements.
