Job Description
The role of HGV Driver:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to support our Plant Operations division. In this role you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our plant and power equipment ensuring timely deliveries that meet our high standards of service. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Key responsibilities will include:
- Safely operate the companies HGV vehicles to transport our Plant and power equipment from and to our customer locations
- Supervise the loading and unloading of equipment
- Ensure safe and smooth access to customer sites by liaising with site managers/customers confirming access requirements security procedures and delivery arrangements when required
- Navigate customer sites safely following sitespecific protocols and ensuring minimal disruption to the customers operations.
- Perform regular checks on the vehicle and equipment ensuring they remain in optimal working condition to avoid delays or issues.
- Follow strict safety protocols to protect yourself your team and others on the road ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both customers and internal stakeholders.
Are you the right person
Wed love to see the following skills qualifications and experience from our HGV Driver applicants:
- Valid LGV Class 1 License.
- Indate Digi Tacho Card.
- Driver CPC Qualification with a minimum of one CPC training day per year since obtaining the card.
- Good knowledge of EU driving hours regulations and tachograph rules.
- Indate Lorry Loader (Hiab) advantageous
- Experience of construction site deliveries desirable
