What youll do
Docusign is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our development team in Seattle. This position will be part of a team working on DocuSigns Platform thats responsible for high scale and low latency service. The service will deliver a NoCode Business Process Automation framework that allows administrators or delegates to build agreement management workflows without having to have any coding experience. This position will demand critical thinking skills ability to quickly understand existing systems and the ability to work in agile environments. The ability to take smart and educated risks is essential to the success of this position. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director Engineering.
Responsibility
- Perform development tasks as key contributor by consistently delivering complex engineering projects
- Articulate clear software engineering strategies plans goals and objectives across multiple Engineering domains projects and teams including crossfunctional partners
- Guide and mentor other engineers through all facets of engineering and product building
- Identify propose and implement process improvements to continuously increase the teams productivity and efficiency
- Stay current with the latest development best frontend practices and share your findings with the team
- Take full ownership of some of our components from development to testing to performance tuning
- Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitments
- Research new features and technologies
- Deliver on the most complex and foundational layers of design
- Share and adopt best practices for performance and availability for one or more functional area
- Collaborate with the UX organization and participate in design reviews
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between inoffice and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly inoffice expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree Masters degree or a PhD or equivalent experience
- Experience with Front end technologies like React JavaScript HTML CSS
- Experience working with Designers and Usability Researchers
- Experience making improvements to existing large code base
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Fluency in English both verbal and written
Preferred
- Passion for new technologies
- Experience working for a SaaS company
- Experience building React component libraries used across multiple projects
- Deep knowledge of HTML and CSS and how the web works
- Experience working independently and in team environment as needed
- A track record of being a selfstarter Individual and team responsibility is our main driver in the development work
- Practical experience with Cloud technologies: Azure Kubernetes AWS etc.
- Focus on writing high quality code that is easy to maintain and read by others
- Strong understanding and experience in agile methodologies
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
Based on applicable legislation the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
Washington New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $145800.00 $214350.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of preestablished sales goals. NonSales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
