Description

Role: Community Short Breaks Worker (Play Worker)

Salary: 13.52 an hour

Location:Ealing

Contract Permanent Part Time 7 hours a week. School Hours School Holidays and weekends.

As part of our Ealing based residential short breaks childrens home Haydock Avenue we have a service running alongside which is providing community short breaks to children with disabilities and additional needs for children aged 1119. Our aim is to give every child a customised opportunity to have fun build skills and promote independence at their pace.

How youll help to create brighter futures

Although experience of working with children and part of a team to support children and young people is desirable you dont need to have previous qualifications. All we ask is that you have a positive attitude and desire to give the best care to children and young people with an understanding of safeguarding and how to communicate effectively with others.

If you have experience in childcare babysitting volunteering in a Nursery or Early Years environment or a Room Leader looking for a new challenge or you have been looking after a sibling or a child with a learning disability we want to talk to you!

You will be supported to make a difference by not only providing personal care but encouraging the children and young people to access a wide range of activities to meet their individual needs and interests including arts and crafts sensory play cooking team games outdoor play enhancing life skills. You will also be engaging having fun and interacting with children and young people that take part in activities in the local community such as climbing water sports go karting and trips to the park.

We will give you all the training and support you need to enhance your experience.
