Staff already in an LTO are not eligible to apply to this posting if it will conflict with theircurrent LTO unless they would be making a move from an EA LTO to a CYW LTO.
All LTO assignments are subject to a revised end date with 2weeks notice.
A condition of employment asan EA/CYW with the Waterloo Region District School Board requires that one must pass a Physical Demands job offers will be conditional on the candidate passing all components of this test. This applies to any EA/CYW that does not already have Permanent/LTO level D hours.
Child and Youth Worker Qualification:
Must have a CYW/CYC Diploma or equivalent College or University degree in a Child Related field (Bachelor of Social Work or a Masters in Social Work Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care CertificateOACYC Social Services Diploma).
Applicants must be willing and have the physical ability to support students with many diverse needs (including toileting/lifting) and have the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
The rate of pay is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Board and the Educational Assistants Association.
