Position: Intensive Case Manager Indigenous Youth Throughcare

Location: Palmerston

Employment Type: Full Time 37.5 hours/week

Are you passionate about social justice youth empowerment and creating longterm change for Aboriginal communities The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) is seeking a dedicated Intensive Case Manager to join our Throughcare team and work directly with young Aboriginal people navigating the NT Youth Justice System.

About the Role:

NAAJA Throughcare provides strengthsbased traumainformed culturally safe support to Aboriginal young people who are on remand or sentenced. As an Intensive Case Manager youll:

Manage a caseload of 1012 young participants

Support them pre and postrelease from detention

Reconnect them with family culture and community

Guide them to break cycles of offending and build brighter futures

Collaborate with families agencies and service providers to develop and implement tailored case management plans

What Youll Bring:

Strong experience in youth justice case management or related support roles

Deep understanding of the challenges facing incarcerated Aboriginal youth

Commitment to cultural safety and working respectfully with Aboriginal families

Knowledge of NT youth justice and detention systems

A teamoriented reflective and compassionate approach

MustHaves:

Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)

Satisfactory criminal history check

No history of disqualification from legal employment
