Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Sewer Cleaning Operator to join our team in Houston TX. In this role you will operate JetVac and other specialized sewer cleaning equipment to perform essential maintenance services for our customers. Youll work as part of a crew to clean sewers remove wastewater and ensure customer satisfaction while following all safety and operational guidelines. This position requires a CDL (Class A or B) a strong work ethic and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions. If youre dependable safetyconscious and open to overtime wed love to have you on our team.
- Hours: Monday Friday from 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (hours may vary due to business needs; overtime may be required)
- Location: 6409 Mesa Dr. Houston TX 77028
- Starting Pay: $25 per hour depending on experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform duties with a work crew to clean and clear sewers catch basins and remove wastewater
- Drive and operate company trucks and equipment
- Service various customer needs using company equipment
- Operate JetVac and related equipment
- Complete all required paperwork for both company and customer needs
- Interact with customers to ensure work is completed to their satisfaction
- Communicate with the office regarding obstacles needs and customer interactions
- Document any changes in the scope of work or project requirements
- Accept additional duties and responsibilities as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform or coordinate necessary repairs
Job Requirements:
- CDL Class A or B
- Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements
- Clean driving record
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to read maps and lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to pull hoses up to 500 feet
- Knowledge of DOT requirements and regulations
- Willingness to work significant overtime during peak periods
- Strong integrity and reliability
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts vibration wet/humid conditions heights confined spaces noxious odors/fumes and moderate to high noise levels
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids/human waste
- Willingness to work out of town for extended periods if required
- Ability to stand for a full shift and perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs. walking stair climbing bending pushing pulling gripping and grasping
