Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Controller to join our dynamic and growing client in Dieppe New Brunswick. As a senior member of the team the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the companys financial healthleading daytoday accounting operations producing accurate financial reports overseeing budgeting and forecasting activities and helping shape the broader financial direction.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Oversee all financial reporting and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Manage monthend and yearend close processes and prepare financial statements and reports
  • Lead budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Analyze financial data identify trends and variances and make recommendations for operational efficiency and growth
  • Ensure compliance with federal provincial and local financial regulations
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to support the organizations financial health
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Liaise with external auditors tax advisors and financial consultants
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial performance with strategic goals

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Education in Accounting Finance or a related field
  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation considered a strong asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) language skills is a strong asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance including experience in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Simply Sage QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities with the ability to develop and foster strong working relationships
  • Highly capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines independently
