The Role:
Our London office is looking for a Senior Drafter able to work on Building Structures Bridges and Civil Structures to form a key part of a growing team.
We have a varied range of project opportunities in both scale and typology in the buildings and infrastructure sectors including international high rise significant adaptive reuse schemes and various Hs2 opportunities.
We work with a wide range of clients including major UK developers and contractors.
You will work with the Discipline Lead to deliver a varied portfolio of projects. Ideally you will be willing to deliver works related to main buildings civil structures and bridges with a variety of materials including steelwork reinforced concrete masonry. You will also interface with other disciplines (including civil faadesrail geotechnical).
We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills coupled with excellent organisational and communication skills gained in either a multidisciplinary or engineering consultancy environment who now wants to enhance and diversify these skills within a growing organisation that will support their future development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing supporting functions to the drafting team
- Preparation of engineering design layouts and detail designs
- Maintaining quality and technical standards with your work
- Interfacing with drafters designers and engineers
- General design office duties
Essential to this position you will have:
- Structural or Civil Engineering study background
- 8 years structural drafting experience with BIM level 2 modelling
- Experience in client facing roles and able to close out coordination issues with minimal designer input.
- High attention to detail
- Strong time management and prioritising skills
- Welldeveloped interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- A practical approach
Not essential but desirable to this position:
- Professional qualification in a related field
- ProjectWise Common Data Environment (CDE) experience
- Site project or operations experience
