Job Description

Position Summary
A SIGN ON BONUS OF $4081 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT OF THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE : $2040.50 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2040.50 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE . Performs general carpentry minor electrical and general plumbing repairs and has daily contact with Department of Housing and Residential Education and Facilities Services Housing Support staff and has responsibility for doing a great deal of planning to ensure minimal impact on students and staff while performing duties and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Journey level experience in one major building trade (carpentry electrical plumbing) with additional experience in a second building trade. Demonstrated working knowledge of the methods practices tools and materials used in industrial commercial maintenance and repair. Ability to plan problemsolve and work safely. Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills with both fellow employees and Housing staff. Ability to serve as a mandatory employee and report to work in support of essential (mandatory) University operations even when adverse weather or other emergency conditions may require the University to close. Valid NC Drivers License or ability to obtain one prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office a plus.

Work Schedule
Four days a week 8:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
