Assistant Dietary Manager
Rate of Pay
$25.00 $26.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Assist the Dietary Manager with monitoring the completion of kitchen tasks and provide extra oversight of dietary staff.
Provide accurate and timely food service as the cook
Monitor and assist with inventory management.
Provide oversight of dietary staff and ensure necessary tasks are being completed.
Handle staff callins and manage the schedule if there are any changes.
Provide insight to dietary manager if there are challenges with staff members.
Prepare residents diets in accordance with diet orders and daily menus.
Assist the food service supervisor to determine the amount and type of food necessary to prepare the daily menus.
Monitor use of food to eliminate waste.
Follow posted menus for food preparation.
Stock food in compliance with dietary policies and procedures.
Provide food service in compliance with federal state and local requirements
Maintain dietary equipment in a safe sanitary manner
Qualifications
2 Years Longterm care experience
Responsible patient and compassionate
Demonstrate critical thinking presentation and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to assess residents and relate information regarding residents condition.
Basic computer and typing skills
Must have good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Must be able to read write speak and understand the English language
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Demonstrate dependable regular attendance
Must be able to sit stand bend lift push pull stoop walk reach and move intermittently during working hours.
Ability to communicate policies procedures regulations reports etc. to personnel residents family members visitors and government agencies/personnel
Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient care patient rights and safety and infection control.
