Editorial Operations Specialist 12 month fixed-term contract

We are seeking a Editorial Operations Specialist on a 1 year fixedterm contract who will enable Fastmarkets price reporters to deliver crucial business intelligence by ensuring that all our valueadded content meets the high standards that make Fastmarkets a worldleading commodities data pricereporting agency (PRA); seeking to continuously improve editorial tasks and processes; and contributing to the development and delivery of training material and exercises.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Edit copy swiftly without compromising on accuracy consistency and compliance with regulatory oversight ensuring consistent quality and expert tone everywhere.
• Help reporters deliver content that is rich in market intelligence and added value enabling our customers to gain the competitive edge they demand.
• Ensure all content is clear errorfree wellwritten and engaging minimizing corrections and removing libel.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated driven and have a passion to be part of a fastpaced successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

• Excellent spoken and written English skills and an ability to judge if where and how content needs to be edited.
• The ability to react quickly and intelligently to copyhandling demands across multiple channels and subject matters in a fastpaced digitally driven global newsroom
•  An affinity for working with data.
• Excellent communication and social skills particularly in delivering feedback to writers and editors around the world on their copy.
• A cool head when tasks are stacking up and a problemsolving mindset including knowing when and how to enlist the help of colleagues and managers
• Experience of working or studying remotely as part of a team.
• Comfort with extended periods of focus at a computer screen.
• Evidence of commitment and achievement relevant to the role.
