Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides strategic direction in the finance function at Universal Orlando specifically ensuring accuracy of financial results (accounting function) and financial reporting submissions to Universal Destination & Experience (UDX) (reporting function). This job involves leading a team of Senior Accountants and/or Accountants. An additional aspect of the job includes managing the external audit process. The Senior Manager must participate in financial reviews with executive leadership.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage finance staff by providing leadership coaching mentoring career development and performance management.
- Direct and supervises the overall financial reporting function.
- Oversee monthend financial close process.
- Develop short and longterm financial cash flow plans including forecasts budgets and fiveyear plans.
- Assist Sr. Director with adhoc projects. Tasks include research of highly complex accounting issues lease analysis and finance support for digital projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting of business results with variance commentary.
- Perform indepth analysis on actual financial performance extending findings to provide meaningful recommendations.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree is required.
- Masters degree is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7 years experience
- 5 years Supervisory preferred;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
- CPA.
