Job Description
Job Summary
Drexel Universitys Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Union Electrician / Multiskilled Maintenance employee.
Essential Functions
- General maintenance repair and installation of electrical equipment including subpanels wiring circuit breakers and conduit installation.
- Replace fluorescent ballasts and tubes.
- Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campuswide which will include work in classrooms restrooms and occasionally residence halls athletic facilities and outdoor work.
- Maintaining indoor and exterior lighting and LED components and upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 Years of Experience
- Philadelphia electrical contractors license or equivalent license required.
- Candidate must possess a valid drivers license.
- Candidate should be proficient in working on 120V480V singlephase and threephase systems. Must have the ability to wire subpanels motors and other electrical equipment.
- The job requires an employee who can perform with minimum supervision and take the initiative to complete the assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum experience of three to five years preferred.

- Typically bending crouching stooping
- Lifting demands 50lbs

Additional Information
This position is classified as exempt union position. Compensation for this position is $31.99 per hour $32.99 per hour with Philadelphia electrical contractors license) as per the Union contract.
