About i9Sports:
i9Sports is a leading communitybased organization dedicated to promoting a love for sports among youth. We focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of various sports while developing essential life skills.
We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Weekend Basketball Referees. This role encompasses officiating basketball games and actively engaging with players to enhance their skills and understanding of the game. We are looking for passionate individuals who can bring both technical expertise and mentorship to the court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Officiate basketball games with fairness and integrity ensuring adherence to the rules and regulations of the sport.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to players during games emphasizing skill development and sportsmanship.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for players encouraging teamwork respect and healthy competition.
- Actively engage with players offering personalized coaching to help them improve their game strategies and techniques.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor serving as a role model for young athletes both on and off the court.
- Collaborate with other referees and coaches to ensure smooth game operations and effective communication.
- Can commit to full weekend work
- Prior experience in officiating basketball games or relevant sports activities.
- Strong understanding of basketball rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly when working with young athletes.
- Passion for mentoring and coaching youth players fostering their personal and athletic development.
- Ability to remain composed and make quick fair decisions in highpressure game situations.
- Commitment to upholding the values of sportsmanship and fair play.
