The Senior Fees Officer is responsible for the administration of student fees across all student cohorts ensuring accurate records including variations to records within agreed deadlines in accordance with University Policy pricing strategy and Government legislation. This position provides advice in relation to fee assessment remission of debt in special circumstances and data entry within the Student Management System to ensure data integrity.

This position provides high level advice to staff across the University in respect to student finance matters however a background in finance is not required. What is more important is the ability problem solve both reactively and proactively and communicate effectively.

As a Senior Officer Fees you will:

  • Manage Fee Administration: Oversee the implementation of complex fee arrangements in the Student Management System ensuring accurate records and compliance with University policies and legislation.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer highlevel advice to staff and students regarding fee matters including HELP schemes and legislative requirements ensuring clarity and support.
  • Support Debt Management: Provide administrative support for invoicing debt remission in special circumstances debt management and sponsorship arrangements in accordance with policies and legislation.
  • Ensure Timely Invoicing: Guarantee the accurate and timely invoicing of tuition fees to students and sponsors while managing debt processes in line with legal and institutional requirements.
  • Assist with System Processes: Oversee fee assessment processes within the Student Management System preparing for key processes such as online invoices and Commonwealth Assistance Notices.

To be successful youll have:

  • A degree with relevant experience or extensive experience and specialist knowledge in technical or administrative fields or an equivalent combination of education/training.
  • Experience in student finance and related policy implementation.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to interpret and apply Government and University legislation and policies.
  • Experience using Callista or a similar Student Management System with the ability to train staff on its functionality.
  • Strong capacity for thoroughness and the ability to apply policies and legislation to workrelated issues effectively.
