School YearFulltime MonFriClick here for Employee BenefitsNEW HAMPSHIRE PUBLIC SCHOOLSSCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT #1CONTOOCOOK VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICTPOSITION TITLE:School Psychologist Elementary Schools Multiple PositionsSUPERVISOR: Director of Special Education QUALIFICATIONS:NH DOE Certification as School Psychologist or Associate School degree in school psychology educational psychology counseling or related field or more years of clinical experience and/or school psychology experience working with evidence of excellent written and oral communication interpersonal skills including group facilitation and coordination are needed to fulfill performance expectations for this :The School Psychologist will promote the educational and psychological wellbeing of the students who may require supportive services to benefit fully from the districts educational AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To complete a comprehensive diagnostic intellectual and/or socialemotional assessment Functional Behavioral Assessment & Behavior Improvement Plan as determined by a Special Education serve on a multidisciplinary team that is for the identification of a student with a suspected educational disability. To serve as the highly qualified examiner on IEP analyze interpret and present evaluations at special education team a solid understanding of RtI to consult with staff around data based decision making and the use of data to determine interventions and/or appropriate supports for provide the immediate supervisor with a schedule of students serviced and to keep thorough ongoing records for the individual students receiving therapy or integrate information from a variety of sources including observation assessment data interviews and records in order to assist school teams in determining the educational disability and developing intervention plans for special education and non special education students. Review information received from sources outside of the school district and assist school teams in understanding and utilizing this information contribute knowledge of family/social systems when participating in decisionmaking related to students needs in areas such as detention issue changes in placement legal suspension or consult with parents and school staff in Instructional Support Team meetings to develop interventions and/or student provide inservice to staff that will augment knowledge and promote mental health for both students and teachers and provide best practice conduct counseling sessions with individuals and groups of schoolage students and consult with their families using techniques that will encourage selfunderstanding and constructive assist administration and instructional staff in behavior management strategies for students with challenging cooperate with community health social welfare agencies and the juvenile develop an appropriate plan of professional fulfill all other job related duties as requested by the Director of Student ServicesADA MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED:The Physical activity of this stooping bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately loudly or hearing perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in repetitive motion substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and/or work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are visual acuity requirements including color depth perception and field worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the conditions the worker will be subject to in this worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.
