Overview
Registered Nurse Pediatric Unit
Full Time 72 Hours Per Pay Period Night Shift
May require days nights weekends and holidays at the discretion of the nurse manager.

The hospitaloffers outstanding ancillary services including Laboratory Radiology and Therapy our Breast Imaging Center of Excellencewomen can have their annual mammograms biopsiesand can meet with a nurse navigator if needed. The Womens Center offers six newly remodeled labor and delivery suites and has a secure nursery for the care of our newborns. Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
- Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes.
- Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments with supervision.
- Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
- Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the agespecific needs of the population served.
- Supervises LPNs Nursing Assistants HUCs Techs and sitters.
- Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; however must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
New graduate within first 1st year of orientation (move to level II after one 1Year experience).
Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain Tennessee RN license and CPR.
