EMPLOYMENT TERMS:Building a pool of applicants to be used on an asneeded basis
PRIMARY DUTY:
The School of Communication & Mass Media at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking
candidates to create a pool of applicants who can teach as an Adjunct within the following
disciplines: Communication Public Relations Organizational Communication Social Media
Management Interpersonal Communication Mass Media Broadcasting and Production
Multimedia Journalism Sports Media Advertising and Digital Media/Content Strategy. Classes
may be in the Fall Spring or Summer term. Classes may be held oncampus or online.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Graduate degree in specific discipline listed above with 18 hours in content area and/or credentials qualifications and/or tested experience sufficient for HLC accreditation
Certification/License: Drivers license
Experience: Evidence of successful teaching in the discipline
Skills: Skills and experience with instructional technology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Terminal degree in specific discipline
WORKING CONDITIONS:This position will work in an academic environment with collaborative teambased faculty and have access to the Internet for online course sites and materials along with Northwest email.
EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED:Laptops and other technology as necessary to provide outstanding instruction
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to complete essential classroom functions and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
