Job Type: Flat Rate Automotive Technician Job Location: Hawley MN (Relocation assistance provided) Wage: Base starting at $35 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform repair work on vehicles as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance service work on used vehicles aiming to prolong vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose accurately and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
- Perform repairs and replacements of automotive parts such as engines transmissions and brakes.
- Communicate directly with the service advisor or manager regarding the status of the service work.
- Continuously learn new technical information and repair techniques as required by Ford Motor Company.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager/supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 45 years of automotive repair experience is required.
- ASE Certification preferred.
- ASE Diesel Certification a plus.
- Ford certification a plus.
- Knowledge of shop equipment (such as wheel and tire equipment alignment system diagnostic equipment AC equipment etc. preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and physical tasks as needed.
- Must have a valid driver s license and meet dealership insurance requirements.
