This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the immediate and future vacancies located at the Oahu District OfficeDepartment of Transportation Highways Division.

Salary: $4495 to $5472 per month (SR18 Step D to I).

Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds the applicants qualifications and other relevant factors.

Duties Summary

Provides land survey support for highway construction projects and highway special maintenance projects.

Serves as instrumentman on a variety of kind of surveys such as preliminary topographic construction or boundary surveys using a transit level theodolite and/or other survey instruments; reduces and plots field notes and performs related computations; may serve as chiefofparty on routine surveys; compiles data pertaining to surveys from maps deeds land titles metes and bounds descriptions or other sources; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

To qualify you must meet all of the following requirements:

Basic Education: A bachelors degree from an accredited four 4 year college or university with a major in land surveying geoscience or engineering.

License: A valid license to drive in the State of Hawaii is required at the time of appointment.

Lifting: This position requires the ability to lift and carry items of up to 50 lbs unassisted and 125 lbs assisted.

Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements may apply.
