Job Description

Amazon Flex is at the forefront of delivery operations owning a significant piece of Amazons Last Mile delivery strategy at current & into the future. The Flex model utilizes independent contractors to help fulfill Ultrafast customer deliveries including Amazon Grocery Whole Foods same day Amazon orders and beyond. Our Finance team works closely with Tech Product & Program Managers to track performance reporting and support analysis for optimization of labor planning pricing routing and expansion opportunities which help improve safety customer quality and reduce costs.
As a Finance Manager youll help us optimize our finances so that we can enhance our customer experience even more and navigate the fastchanging business environment. This role is an opportunity to act as the key finance leader for a strategic programs and get really involved with shaping our business. Youll lead others and use insights to show senior stakeholders ways that we can move forward with our business ambitions.
This role requires a selfstarter with strong business modeling skills a keen attention to detail and good track record of influencing business partners. This role has regular interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on professional integrity; and will need to have a proven track record for hiring developing and retaining the best talent.
Key job responsibilities
Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models interpret data draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results drive improvements and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact.
Educate business partners on financial and nonfinancial tradeoffs and provides guidance and financial analysis for new projects and initiatives. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
Identifies opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improves scales or simplifies finance tools across teams and organizations.
A day in the life
A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative socially responsible last mile logistics solutions through largescale data driven decision making. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities: they influence business owners support thoughtful decisionmaking and adapt to a rapidlyevolving environment. They collaborate with senior leaders and various business units across Amazon. You bring excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
5 years of finance experience or Masters degree and 3 years of finance experience
MBA and/or Professional certification (CIMA ACCA ACA or CPA)
Advanced Excel skills
Advanced use of SQL (data mining and business intelligence)
Ability to prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fastpaced dynamic evergrowing and often ambiguous environment; effective multitasking skills are vital

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
