Job Description:
The Judicial Branch is a statefunded Branch of Government that offers medical/dental/vision $20000 free basic life insurance statematched 156 retirement plan 13 paid holidays earned paid vacation and sick leave and more.
Under general supervision the incumbent of this position assists in the coordination of services delivered statewide through the Office of Probation Administration. This includes work involving investigatory supervision rehabilitative and service delivery for individuals under the purview of the court. Work at this level involves creativity and the ability to promote adherence to service standards. Incumbents in this position are expected to exercise initiative and judgment in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
Job Duties
- Manages the statewide substance use testing program across all Probation Districts and coordinates with the State Probation Drug Testing Lab.
- Maintains a Community of Practice for Substance Use Monitors and Drug Technicians to ensure adherence to established laboratory and fieldtesting policies and protocols. Plans agendas and facilitates bimonthly meetings.
- Coordinates with Judicial Branch Education for new drug testing staff inservice training monitors training material and opportunities for continuing education to keep field staff up to date of current issues associated with substance use testing.
- Conducts training and technical assistance as necessary on various methodologies used in the field of drug testing.
- Evaluates with various vendors onsite and field test mechanisms to ensure the best most costeffective and proficient drug testing program currently available.
- Maintains effective working relationships with vendors. Serves as the administrative liaison approves invoicing and facilitates account service requests.
- Gathers information regarding problematic substance use among clients and analyzes trend data.
- Interprets drug testing results; compiles and prepares ongoing reports for dissemination and presentation.
- Manages drug testing inventory records and analyzes program usage.
- Approves requests from field staff for retests and confirmation tests as needed. Approves orders for specialty product items.
- Monitors for appropriate referral and utilization of alcohol monitoring tools including Continuous Alcohol Monitoring and Remote Alcohol Testing.

Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in criminal justice or related fields; 2 years of related program management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Preferred: The above plus an understanding of drug testing technologies and practices and the ability to interpret data and explain testing procedures.
Education Statement
All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

- Developing placement service plans analyzing assessment instruments matching service needs and funding options;
- Developing and providing education to staff and other local state and national justice stakeholders;
- Maintaining records and files;
- Operating computers and applicable software applications;
- Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers supervisors the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
