Job Description

Stock Controller / Administrator Port Elizabeth.

Our client an IT company servicing the hospitality industry is currently looking to hire a Stock Controller / Administrator based in Port Elizabeth.


Requirements:
  • Matric certificate required.
  • Further education in supply chain management logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management stock control or a related field is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Ability to lift and move stock items as required.
Responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Inventory Monitoring:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory levels stock movements and stock activities.
  • Help monitor stock levels to ensure product availability and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Participate in regular inventory audits and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
2. Stock Management:
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of stock control systems and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking and managing stock using inventory management software.
  • Ensure all stock items are properly labelled and organized in the stock holding area.
3. Ordering and Replenishment:
  • Help generate purchase orders for stock replenishment based on inventory levels and sales forecasts.
  • Assist in liaising with regional branches to ensure timely delivery of stock.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to help manage lead times and order quantities.
4. Data Entry and Management:
  • Update inventory records in the system accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting regular inventory reports and metrics to management.
5. Quality Control:
