Job Description
Synerfac is seeking a Electrical Field Service Technician for our client in Chesapeake VA. Our client is one of the largest independently owned motor and pump shops in the U.S. that focuses on rebuilding and remanufacturing rotating electrical and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose operational problems in electrical power generation and control systems and equipment.
Use specialized measuring and testing instruments such as voltmeters ammeters ohmmeters meggers Advanced Motor Circuit Testers AWA IV12 PDMA MCE Megger ADX 15 etc.
Make standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
Plans and lays out work from blueprints sketches wiring diagrams or specifications.
Installs repairs and tests electrical systems electrical equipment emergency or standby generation systems etc.
Conduct IR Scans of Customer Power and Control Systems.
Perform Trouble Shooting Maintenance and Repair of Electric Motors AC Induction. AC Synchronous AC Wound Rotor DC Shunt Wound DC Series Wound and Generators AC and DC in the Field.
Masters Electrician License or in the process of obtaining
5 years of experience in industrial electrical troubleshooting with a background in AC/DC motors controls and generators.
High school degree or equivalent.
Must be willing to travel up to 250 mile radius
Must have excellent driving record.
Must be able to work overtime.
Experience with thermography inspection is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry 4080lb test equipment and tooling around Industrial Facilities.
