The National Indigenous Knowledges Education Research and Innovation (NIKERI) Institute holds a history of over three decades as a space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to undertake higher education. NIKERI sits within the Faculty of Arts and Education but maintains a specific role profile and responsibility across the whole of Deakin and various communities.
The Faculty of Arts and Education is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching learning creating and social development and fostering cuttingedge research and discovery. The NIKERI Institute places high emphasis on research that makes a difference and is solutionled. We work closely with industry partners and the government to put findings into practice.
About the role:
The Senior Lecturer Indigenous Studies will lead unit and course teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will lead growing increasingly productive highquality research scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs. The Senior Lecturer will engage in and increasingly develop and lead academic or other collaborations that enable novel and highquality teaching research or creative activities in the Indigenous Studies area.
