Job Description
We are urgently looking for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team in Krugersdorp on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking longterm growth and stability within a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 510 years experience in the civil engineering sector
- Sound knowledge of civil works (earthworks roads pipelines concrete structures etc.
- Familiar with JBCC NEC or FIDIC contracts
- Proficient in MS Excel and QS software (e.g. CCS Candy BuildSmart)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Immediate availability is essential
- Own transport and valid drivers license required
- Prepare and manage cost estimates tender documentation and BOQs for civil engineering projects
- Handle contract administration and progress claims
- Conduct site measurements and verify contractor claims
- Manage project budgets cost control and reporting
- Prepare valuations interim payment certificates and final accounts
- Identify and manage variations and project risks
- Liaise with site teams engineers suppliers and subcontractors
